Dear Neighbors and Friends of District 2

 

My name is Dennis Williams and as you may know I have announced my candidacy for the 2^nd District Commissioner of the Augusta Richmond County Commission in 2014.  I am frustrated with the lack of growth, jobs, services and opportunities here in Augusta-Richmond County.  I am mindful that other cities our size is moving forward by attracting good jobs, providing excellent services to its citizens.  Our children should not have to move to another city to find job opportunities.

 

After prayerful thought, and encouragement from our neighbors, I am offering myself as a candidate for District 2 County Commissioner.  My involvement in community affairs, as a past Planning and Zoning Commissioner and other boards and /or committees, as well as a 39 year retired employee of the Federal Government provides the background, skills abilities necessary to be a viable candidate for public service.  Now is the time to provide our city with new leadership, thinking and governing of our local government. 

 

I am humbly asking for your prayers, support and vote.  Please contribute to our campaign by forwarding your contribution made out to “Friends to Elect Dennis Williams” in the self-addressed envelope enclosed and come out on Election Day and vote for “DENNIS WILLIAMS, District 2.”

 

We need “Action not Promises,” I will be a strong and meaningful voice in the governing of our great city, to fight for fairness for every citizen.  We must do things differently; can I count on your vote to join me in making a difference.
